The year is divided into twelve parts, each with a specific name and number of days. Each month having 4-5 weeks and 28-31 days.
Why We Use Them
We use months to organize time, plan events, and record dates that cover a long period of time.
When to Use Them
We use them when we are referencing specific times of the year for past, current and future events, and seasons.
EXAMPLE SENTENCES
January is the first month of the year.
Their anniversary is in April.
We go on vacation in July.
The school year starts in September.
The last month is December.
The flowers bloom in May.
He was born in February.
The weather gets colder in November.
They celebrate their graduation May or June.
The conference is in October.
IDIOMS USING NUMBERS
"March Madness" - Describes a hectic, unpredictable, or chaotic period, often filled with excitement and unexpected challenges.

"April showers bring May flowers" - Good things often follow difficult situations; hardships often lead to better outcomes.
