EXAMPLE SENTENCES
The sky is blue.
She wore a red dress.
The grass is green.
He painted the house yellow.
The car is black.
She likes purple flowers.
The cat has white fur.
He has a brown dog.
The orange is orange in color.
She bought a pink notebook.
We add “ish” to words when we are trying to
explain a color that is not a clearly defined color:
He wore some greenish blue pants.
They all had on a dark reddish color jacket.
I love that material that is a little pinkish purple.

"Feeling Blue" - Feeling sad or depressed.
"She’s been feeling blue ever since her best friend moved away."
"Green with Envy" - Very jealous.
"He was green with envy when he saw his friend’s new car."
"Caught Red-Handed" - Caught in the act of doing something wrong or illegal.
