How to use:

      - She used a lot of effort to bite down on candy that would not break.

     

  • They studied hard for their exams.

      - They studied for hours and hours to be ready for this exam.

     

  • The coach was hard on the athletes, but it paid off after they won.

      - The coach kept reminding the athletes over and over about how serious this competition was, but they appreciated the reminders after they won.
