Progressive Reader: Today, my family and I went to the zoo. The first animal we saw was a huge lion, roaring loudly. We watched the monkeys swinging in the trees, and the zebras walking around with their striped coats. I really liked the tall giraffe, calmly eating leaves from high up in the trees. We also visited the penguins, swimming fast in their cold pool. The zoo is such a fun place with so many interesting animals.
